Dan has trained both as an independent Mediator, and as a Solicitor.
In private practice as a solicitor, as a civil litigator, dealing with personal injury claims, professional negligence, and a wide variety of commercial and contractual disputes over more than 20 years.
It was as a result of those experiences, and the perceived limitations of court based solutions, together with the growing cost of civil litigation, that Dan became increasingly interested in alternative dispute resolution techniques, including facilitative mediation.
He is willing to offer those services to parties seeking to resolve disputes, in particular those which are unlikely to be resolved through court processes or where the cost of doing so is very likely to be disproportionate or irrecoverable. His aim is to provide a satisfactory, cost-effective and speedy outcome.
